Dealership Website Goals, Conversions… WTF?
The most important elements of any Digital marketing campaign is measuring your results. Having accurate data on your campaigns is the best way to determine if your dealership’s marketing budget is being well spent.
Us digital marketers use a tool called Google Analytics goals (Conversions in Google Ads) to track and report how often your dealership’s online shoppers take specific actions on your dealership’s website.
These actions can be completing a form, submitting a credit application of even completing a deal through your digital retailing tool. We also suggest call tracking that can trigger goals for phone calls that were initiated from specific website traffic sources.
You can access your site’s goal settings in Analytics by clicking the “Admin” tab, then clicking “Goals” in the View column.
If there are any existing goals set up make sure these goals relate to the actions you want to track on your dealership’s website. Google ads can use these goals to optimize ad spend so it’s important that goals are setup and track not just one action shoppers might take but all that move the shopper closer to being a buyer.
Tracking your digital marketing strategy can be challenging, and setting relevant goals is essential to knowing if your digital marketing agency is performing.
If you’d like some assistance with your dealership’s Google Analytics account, we’d love to help.
